Marcus Willis: Britain’s Got Talent

Marcus Willis a very colorful handsome dude has come out as a silver lining amid the chaos in Britain. Marcus story has all hallmarks of a spectacular feel good movie. Marcus born with an exuberant humor made a fairly tale turnaround when he won his first round watch against a person ranked in 700 places above him. This story is a page turner for people who want to read about glorious events around the world. He described his loss against Roger Federer in the second round when he took 7 games of Federer ” I have earned  a beer, I think” highlights his wit in his evergreen modesty. Marcus plays the good old serve and volley style of tennis…Highlights of his game with Roger Federer with inset his girlfriend cheering him on.

One funny anecdote of Marcus is that he played a match where he grunted on many shots calling out names of great tennis players when he tried to replicate their shots. Marcus fairy tale story starts when he had almost given tennis as a struggler and about to leave England when he met and fell in love with the very gorgeous Jennifer Bate, a dentist and former beauty queen. Overweight and distraught, Marcus came back from giving tennis lessons to kids and elderly people for 30 pounds an hour with negligible savings to rise to stardom worldwide. He won 50,000 pounds in his first round match IN Wimbledon easily the highest salary from any match in his career. Known for his wit and termed as a joker in a loving manner (something which I also identify with. I am known for my wacky sense of humor and make people laugh like hell).

Coming to the title of the article Britain’s Got Talent got inspired by one of my favorite shows Britain’s Got Talent. The show is a paragon of creativity, originality and artistic exquisiteness drawing out the best hidden talent not only from UK and from other parts of Europe. The show of course has produced its own fairly tale story; remember Susan Boyle. Her performance brought tears to my eyes and inspired me during the time I was struggling in life. Her epic audition of song “ I Dreamed A Dream” is timeless and eternal sung in a melodious and honest voice which would make heavens sing. Is this not the triumph of mankind. ( I do have to make an honest confession, I adore judges Amanda, Cheryl Cole and Piers Morgan and sometimes find Simon absolutely hilarious. Got to agree Simon has his moments (Sad he and Cheryl fell apart) and what will world do without the two anchors…just love them). Amanda succinctly talks about Susan Boyle’s performance. ” We very cynical, biggest wake up call and completely privilege to watch her”

Like Susan so many unknown artists have come, touched people’s heart and also made a fortune. They entertained, changed people and their lives for the better. Is this not a triumph of our civilization that people across nationalities, ethnicity, gender etc. participate on a common platform to showcase their talent ? Is it not why Britain’s Got Talent and other talent shows have been such a big hit worldwide. Is it not victory of liberalization and brotherhood ?

Coming back to Marcus dude he used to stay with his parents and a bit similar to the Dude from Big Lebowski. Marcus turn around is hugely due to his love Jennifer who served as a catalyst for his fairy tale story. Even in the movie Big Lebowski, The Dude gets a turbo charge when he meets Julian Moore’s character with rainbow effects.

Its great to know he got his girl, got his act together (Maybe saw Rocky and other movies), cut down on beer and lost 55 pounds. He made the whole country and the world proud. His story hit the headlines for the right reason and hopefully he does great in life. I like Marcus attitude and would be great to meet him.

Marcus would order a beer and myself signature drink Fresh Lime Soda Sweet and Salty over a an intellectual and light discussion about life, sports, well-being, art, humanism, economics, policies the list goes on…

So Dude whats the moral of the story…

In order to succeed you need a babe and need to play tennis…

And she got to be a blonde…Remember the movie Gentlemen Prefer Blondes…

Leave you with my signature wacky touch…Do not think too much…
