Social Impact, Southern States and Southern Hospitality

I always wanted to write for a long time on substance abuse. It’s a global problem and needs to be addressed with renewed focus and vigor. Under social impact section, I have written articles on charter schools in the US and published an article here. Charter schools performance is very varied across states in the US  with Denver, Colorado leading the way.

I traveled around the US and found Americans to be sophisticated and reserved. Americans are usually very friendly and found people especially from the Southern States extremely friendly and helpful. They have a pleasing personality, open to different perspectives and passionate about what they do. They are usually nice people. This is not only from my experience at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor but from my travels around the US. My experience includes people from Tennessee, Texas, Louisiana, Georgia and generally people under the age of 40 years. If you get an opportunity you must travel to the southern states and meet the younger generation.
