ADB and Thailand’s first green bond

The Asian Development Bank (ADB) invests 3 billion Thai baht ($98.7 million) in Energy Absolute’s maiden 10 billion Thai baht green bond issuance for financing the Hanuman wind farm in Thailand. Thailand has been making a lot of strides in the environment or climate-related benefits, especially in alternative energy. Renewable energy is now 10% of the total energy production and expected to rise to 15 to 20% by 2036. The Hanuman wind farm project is expected to reduce the carbon emissions per year by 200,000 tons by 2020. Reducing carbon emissions is a positive externality, a case discussed in my article here.  A positive externatily is when social good exceeds private good. So how do you measure social good ?
