The middle Road attended the first media briefing since its incorporation, the World Health Organization Virtual Press Conference – COVID-19- 18-MAR-2020. All companies have humble beginnings and so is the story of The middle Road. It was my first experience and I am the only employee of the company. My mother sat with me at home as I for the first time wore the hat of a journalist in a press conference.
It was more of an emotional talk and I sincerely hope that the world stays united. So many people are dying every day and in words of Dr. Tedros Adhanom, Director-General, WHO “We all live in unprecedented times, we need to unite together against an unprecedented enemy-the Virus”. Sadly for the last couple of years, it all been the US and China from trade wars to COVID-19, its time to move on. The world is by far more beautiful and multidimensional and we must collaborate and get the best from each other. These past few days have taught everyone how unpredictable life has become despite advances in science. We can fight this virus most effectively and quickly through mutual respect, cooperation, and tech transfer. Countries can learn so much from China, Korea, and Singapore both from their initial mistakes and their best business and scientific practices. We now have so much more data on the virus compared to a couple of months back, enhancing our understanding of a few aspects of COVID-19 and slowly developing the most judicious manner in structuring a way ahead, a road we all need to walk together.
