Impact Evaluation Cycle

The impact Evaluation Cycle covers a four-step process for setting up an impact evaluation experiment. The steps begin with Strategizing the long-term goal or outcome and setting up the experimental intervention. 

Strategizing involves defining the long-term outcome or goal, followed by the experimental intervention includes understanding or setting up preconditions of indicators for achieving the result. The outcome is measured through metrics or preconditions that capture the end result. In the next section, we will look into the difference between outcome and output when we look at the Theory of Change framework. The last two stages include implementation, which includes field visits and data collection for impact evaluation, followed by Analysis and Report Generation. Watch the video below to know more.
