The Israeli attack on Gaza after a deadly terrorist attack by Hamas on Israel has resulted in a terrible human tragedy. As world condemnation and outrage against Israeli action grows, including by leading US senators, more than 30,000 people have died, many of them women and children. According to UN News, as of 20 March, 196 humanitarian workers have been killed. Recently, based on the information disbursed by DW News, a convoy of the food charity World Central Kitchen was targeted, and several humanitarian workers from multiple countries were killed by an Israeli airstrike. Sadly, despite universal condemnation of its military approach in Gaza, including that from its close ally, the US, Israel has persistently killed civilians in this five-month-long war to remove Hamas and release Israeli hostages held by Hamas. If you compare the Israeli siege on Gaza with the Russian-Ukrainian war, the number of civilian casualties of Palestinians far exceeds that of civilians killed in the Russian-Ukrainian war. An indecisive US government and a divided Europe on the best way to stop Israel, has led to an unabated increase in the human toll in this ongoing humanitarian disaster. As anger mounts against Israel globally, one of the greatest massacres of civilians in recent times is happening in plain sight. According to a report by Oxfam, Israeli military is killing Palestinians at an average rate of 250 per day, more than the daily death toll of any other major 21st century conflict.
